Step 4: Create a Detailed Tech Pack

A tech pack is your design blueprint. It eliminates ambiguity and ensures the factory produces exactly what you envision. Montforge’s design team can assist with tech pack creation. Key components include:

• Flat sketches showing front, back, and side views with construction details
• Colorway schedule specifying every color variant with Pantone or fabric swatch references
• Measurement chart covering all sizes with tolerance ranges
• Hardware specifications for zippers (YKK or equivalent), drawcords, toggles, and snaps
• Branding placement guide with exact coordinates for every logo and label
• Stitch and seam details including seam types, stitch per inch requirements, and finishing

Step 5: Sampling, Approval & Production

Once your tech pack is submitted, Montforge produces prototype samples within 7–14 days. Evaluate the sample for fit, fabric hand-feel, logo quality, zipper function, and overall construction. Typical startups go through 1–3 sampling rounds before approving bulk production.

After approval, bulk production runs in 30–35 days. Montforge provides real-time production updates and conducts inline quality inspections at every major stage.
